Teaching and Lessons
Any age is a great time to begin taking music lessons! I give both drum and piano lessons for beginning to intermediate students.

I believe everyone has the capacity to learn a musical instrument. We may not all be Miles Davis or Bruno Mars, but the joy of conversing in a musical setting is an experience everyone can enter. Whether it's acquiring a new technique, learning a specific fill, or just jamming out to some of your favorite songs, playing an instrument calls for some dedication. Music requires a balance of focus, concentration, and discipline. Together we can create lesson plans that tailor to your goals and interests. I would love to share my passion for music and help you discover your own way.
Lesson Philosophy
I have been fortunate to spend my past few years as a music teacher. Working with a wide age range, from kids as young as three to older adults, has given me an immense respect for the musical language. Everyone learns differently and I love to help people explore this process more deeply. Age and skill level become irrelevant when someone is honestly engaged in a musical effort. I use a mix of workbooks/exercises and improvisation to target your needs and goals in each lesson. I am also more than willing to work on any material you are interested in. Above all, I strive to make my lessons fun because I've found this to be the most effective way to learn. If you're not enjoying the creative process, what's the point?

I teach both 30 minute and hour long lessons. They can be either at my house or I can come to you! Prices will vary depending on several factors. I will also do special prices for a monthly lesson package.
